Dining at Lake Achen
Awarded the quality seal “Tiroler Wirtshauskultur” for traditional Tyrolean restaurants
This idyll almost seems unreal! Situated between stunning alpine scenery and Lake Achen, the Fischerwirt am Achensee restaurant has been offering a warm welcome and excellent menu for already more than 100 years. And as Lake Achen is on the doorstep, there is, of course, also a great fish menu to choose from which includes delicacies such as trout, char or pike from Lake Achen which are all freshly served. Every October/November we celebrate the local St Martin’s weeks with fresh and succulent roast goose. Autumn is also the time of wild game dishes with a great choice of chamois, deer and venison specialities.
Opening times
- The restaurant is open daily from 9.00 am to 11.00 pm
- Food served from 11.00 am to 8.30 pm
Tyrolean culture can be felt all around in the rooms of our restaurant and if you would like to experience even more of this we recommend a visit to the fascinating Heimatmuseum Sixenhof (local history museum) nearby. Further options for combining with a visit to the Fischerwirt include a boat trip round Lake Achen, hikes into the Karwendel mountain range and bike trips in the area.
Whether a small or big family get-together, group stop-off or outing with your local club, we have just the thing for you!
